APBA is seeking for well-experienced management consultants to join its executive team.

Our consultants take leadership roles in providing professional advisory services to our consultancy service users. They are very much in the middle of our research activities and also input into our publications. Our consultants are key figures during APBA's conferences, training, course delivery, and seminars. They may also be called upon to provide expert witness service in court. You must be fully committed to what APBA stands for, as well as it's mission, aims, and values.

 

You must be well qualified and extensively experienced in your field with significant achievements. We are interested in consultants with profound competencies in core management fields. This may include, but not limited to:

NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS (5 positions – UK based)

We require 5 Non-executive directors (NED) or External Director to help shape the future of APBA in its fight against corruption. You will be a member of APBA's Board of Directors but will not form part of the executive management team. You will act in an advisory capacity and you will be required to attend board meetings periodically to offer the benefit of advice. You may also be required to serve on committees concerned with sensitive issues such as the pay of the executive leaders and other senior managers.

In particular, we required Non-Executive Directors with one or more of the following backgrounds:

  • Finance and Accounting

  • Fundraising

  • Business Development

  • Education, Academics & Training 

  • Human Resources Management

  • Leadership & Corporate Governance

  • Relationship / Customer Relationship Management

  • Quality Improvement Management

  • Lawyer/Solicitor/legal specialist

  • International Business

  • Social Media and Marketing

We will consider other areas of specialty provided it is relevant to APBA’s operations

You must be capable of overseeing a company and business issues in a broad perspective, understand strategic issues and be able to make significant input into shaping the strategic growth and success of APBA. A solid understanding and experience in education/training, finance, business development, governance, fundraising/business finance, and anti-corruption issues will be helpful but not compulsory. You must be independent, Impartial, have a wide experience, have a special knowledge with sound personal qualities. You must also have solid decision-making abilities, show leadership, initiatives and be committed to the values of APBA.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the strategic direction of APBA;

  • Efficiently solving problems that arise;

  • Communicating with third parties;

  • Ensuring all the audit requirements are satisfied;

  • Approving strategic partnerships and strategic proposals;

  • Appointing the board of directors.

This is a volunteering position other than expenses covered. However, you are entrusted with a high level of authority within APBA

GOVERNORS (10 positions - 5 UK-BASED + 5 NON-UK-BASED)

APBA governors strategic leaders of our operations and have a vital role to play in making sure we achieve our goals. It is desirable that members have a range of competencies, skills, and experience to enable them to make a positive contribution to the governance of APBA. Governors must first and foremost be a member of APBA.

We are seeking to appoint governors from every part of the world (5 from the UK and 5 from the rest of the world). Our governors will have a strong focus on three core strategic functions:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;

  • Approve policies and strategic plans for achieving APBA's goals;

  • monitor and evaluate the progress APBA is making towards the achievement of its goals;

  • Holding the Executive and Non-executive leaders/directors to account for the  performance of APBA; 

  • Overseeing the financial performance of APBA and making sure its money is well spent; and

  • Be a source of challenge and support to the Leadership of APBA 

 

This is a volunteering position other than expenses covered. However, you are entrusted with the highest level of authority within APBA

Be an APBA Director (Board Member) from any location in the world outside of the United Kingdom

 

We require 10 internationally-based Non-Executive Directors (NED) or external director to help shape the future of APBA in its fight against corruption. You will be a member of APBA's Board of Directors but will not form part of the executive management team. You will act in an advisory capacity and you will be required to connect online with the London board activities to offer the benefit of advice and serve on committees concerned with sensitive issues such as the pay of the executive leaders and other senior managers.

 

In particular, we require Non-Executive Directors with one or more of the following backgrounds::

  • Education, Academics & Training
