Scope

The APBA’s code of ethics for businesses helps businesses to avoid serious troubles with consumers, other organisations or government authorities. It also makes decision-making easier at all levels of an organisation by reducing ambiguity. All APBA’s business members are expected to use the Code of Ethics for Businesses as a dynamic, comprehensive guideline for shaping their own policies and for making business decisions. While there will be territorial differences on ‘ethical issues’, the code is designed to provide a broad framework giving individual business members the room to narrow down to a conforming corporate version that works for them.
