Defend victims of corruption

APBA is committed to defending corruption victims through methods as advocacy and legal representations where applicable. We partner with local and international organisations and service providers to equip victims with useful information and facilitate access to other forms of practical support

 

Challenge malpractices

In the very heart of APBA’s operations is the passion for challenging all forms of anti-corruption and malpractices. We exist to take action against corruption by for example ‘shouting out’ and ‘flagging up’ corruption wherever they occur.  APBA is committed to taking a stand against unfairness, discrimination, irresponsibility, and the like perpetrated by people in authority

 

To promote integrity and professional ethics in leadership

APBA is committed to actively encouraging and supporting good practice amongst people entrusted with power and authority by whatever means including heritage, education, marriage, election, and appointment. We engage a wide range of anti-corruption action strategies including public recognition for good achievements and behaviours.

Mobilise against corruption

  • ​​Establish a common voice, a force, and hope against corruption and all its vices

  • A global membership service with all members receiving support with and  access to Continuous Professional Development

  • Encourage good practice by actively identifying and acknowledging exemplary conducts

  • Creating a unique identity for our members

  • Operate a BLACKLIST ('Name and Shame') system for members with questionable conduct

  • Support and defend members who become victims of corruption

  • Have a members forum for sharing experience, discussing and debating on issues of interest

  • Create a range of membership benefits beyond the Alliance's own resources

 

ABOUT US

Anti-Corruption Professionals and Businesses Alliance (APBA) is a body of dedicated Professionals and Businesses that have adopted a ZERO TOLERANCE practice against all forms of corruption and malpractices.

 

All stakeholders of APBA are driven by a common desire and commitment to tackle corruption and its vices using both proactive and reactive measures. We are united by a common belief that corruption is avoidable and so are its vices. By coming together we project a common voice of hope, desire, commitment and influence that aims to change the entire world for the good of all mankind. The Alliance is set up to change the world by:

  1. Mobilising against Corruption: Membership service

  2. Campaigning against corruption

  3. Educating (train, develop, advice, course delivery) against corruption: Promoting integrity and professional practice

  4. Defending against Corruption: Support corruption victims

  • Having a clear social mission

  • Being majority controlled in the interests of the social mission

  • Being  autonomous of any business, community, state or government

  • Being accountable and transparent

  • Operating a global network system of researching, reporting, naming and shaming

 

Educate against corruption

  • Train staff, students and educate the public on matters of corruption,

  • Promote and encourage professional practice and sound ethics

  • Research on matters of corruption, integrity, professional ethics and good leadership and let this inform our work

  • Provide consultancy service to political leaders, businesses, professionals, governments, communities, professional organisations, political parties, etc

  • Institute and enforce standards for accrediting institutions and business centers that wish to teach/train staff/learners on matters of anti-corruption and professional practice and sound ethics

  • Acknowledge good practices in leadership (publicly) amongst members

 

Campaign against corruption

  • Speak against corruption and corrupt leadership

  • Use vehicles such as Workshops Open days. Seminars and similar events to campaign against corruption

  • Publish anti-corruption cases

  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies

  • Publish against corruption

  • Issue joint statement with our collaborative partners against corruption

 

Defend against corruption

To promote integrity and professionalism in leadership, amongst professionals and businesses, challenge corruption and defend its victims.

 

MISSION

APBA exists to challenge all forms of corruption in a manner that eases avoidable hardship on all stakeholders. By developing and resourcing its individual and corporate members and by connecting with a wider group of stakeholders including our collaborative partners, APBA will persistently encourage integrity, professional practices and ethical behaviours in leadership, businesses, and communities. Through research, awareness building and the application of a robust anti-corruption assessment, validation, and compliance system, we will drive towards a world of fairness, integrity, respect, and equal opportunity for all.

INDICATIVE STRATEGIC DIRECTIONS/ACTIVITIES

  • Institute compliance standards as a hallmark for anti-corruption to align with those of the United Nations, and to let this inform our operations, in particular, the designing and implementation of our training and development programmes; identification and recognition of good practice; reviewing of our Professional Codes of Ethics and in challenging anti-corruption practices

  • In collaboration with our global partners, Influence the actions of governments, communities, businesses, and individuals all over the world by creating and making available a bank of ethical and professional practice resources

  • Create a membership of dedicated individuals and businesses that are committed to challenging corruption by demanding adherence to the Alliance’s Professional Codes of Ethics and Conduct.

  • To promote integrity and professional ethics amongst leaders through collaborations, consultation, advice, training, support, and recognition of good practice

  • Encourage good practice by actively seeking out and openly recognising good examples (behaviours, initiatives, activities, etc) and using such occasions to reinforce our campaign against corruption as well as celebrate success

  • Actively identify and collaborate with strategic partners all over the world for the purpose of providing support to victims of corruption; campaigning against corruption; delivering training and development programmes; sourcing out good practice cases  and jointly challenging corruption

  • Assess and validate compliance through a regulatory system of monitoring and review

VISION

To be a global authority on action against corruption, actively influencing the actions of governments, communities, businesses, and leaders in a positive direction. We would have local presence globally and make a global impact on corruption with a powerful well-sustained force of hope for all mankind.
